I Spent $1,075 On 6 Grounding Sheets In 14 Months. 5 Of Them Stopped Working Within 2 Weeks.
(Here Are The Exact Brands, How Fast They Failed, And The One I Still Sleep On Tonight.)
A $89 multimeter, six top-selling grounding sheets from the brands you've seen on Facebook, and the test that proved why most people who buy a grounding sheet think grounding doesn't work.

The six sheets I tested over 14 months. Five of them failed before the return window closed. One of them was never even a sheet you could touch.
Before You Buy Another Grounding Sheet, Read This
If you bought a grounding sheet and stopped noticing anything after the first few weeks, you weren't crazy. Your sheet died and nobody told you.
If you're about to buy your first one, you need to know that 5 of the 6 most-bought brands on the market right now will be dead before your return window closes.
I run an EKG on patients every shift. I know what conductivity is. When my own grounding sheet stopped helping after a few weeks, I drove to Home Depot, spent $89 on a Fluke multimeter, and tested it.
Reading zero. The sheet was dead.
I bought five more from the top brands online. Tested them all the same way for 14 months. Here is exactly what happened.
The 3 Categories
There Are Only 3 Types Of Grounding Products On The Market. 2 Of Them Are A Trap.

๐จ Cheap silver sheets โ 5% to 10% silver.
Most of the market. Silver dies in your washing machine. Done before you can return it.
๐จ Plastic mattress covers.
You put your fitted sheet on top, so your skin never touches the conductive part. Plus the plastic gives off chemicals into the air you breathe all night.
๐จ Stainless steel fiber sheets.
The newest scam. Steel conducts way worse than silver, the sheet feels like sandpaper, and it also goes under your fitted sheet so you don't touch it either.
There's one other product on the market that doesn't fit any of these categories. It's the only sheet I tested that still works on day 420 the same as day one.
I'll get to that. First, the failures.
Trap 1
1. The 5% Silver Sheet That Dies In Your Washing Machine

This is the trap most people fall into first. The 5-10% silver fitted sheet. $40 to $400. Top of the Amazon results.
I tested four of them.
Every one of them failed for the same reason.
Silver oxidises when it touches moisture. Your body sweats every night. Your washing machine adds water and detergent. At 5% silver, the threads are so thin the oxidation eats through them in days. At 10%, it takes a week or two longer. Sprayed coatings come off even faster.
The sheet looks identical the day it dies. Same color. Same softness. Same packaging. You don't know unless you own a multimeter.
So you keep sleeping on it. You feel nothing. You decide grounding is a scam.
Trap 2
2. The Plastic Mattress Cover (Too Weak To Push Electrons Through A Single Sheet โ Plus It Releases Chemicals Into Your Bedroom Air)

This is the most expensive way I've ever seen anyone buy nothing.
Brands like Down to Ground don't sell a grounding sheet. They sell a grounding mattress cover that goes under your fitted sheet. Their own product page admits this: do not put a fitted sheet on top of the cover, or the grounding stops working.
Read that again. The brand themselves tell you their product can't conduct through a single layer of cotton.
โ ๏ธ Why? Because the material is too weak a conductor.
Almost every grounding mattress cover on the market is made from PVC or vinyl plastic with sparse carbon particles laced through it. Carbon at that low density is a weak conductor โ nothing close to pure silver. It can transfer electrons into bare skin pressed directly against it. It cannot push electrons through any layer of fabric on top.
I tested this myself. The cover alone read clean conductivity. I put a normal fitted sheet on top โ the way you would on any bed โ and tested the surface my skin would actually touch.
Reading dropped to zero.
Not because cotton inherently blocks electrons. Because the carbon-laced plastic doesn't have the conductive strength to push electrons through cotton. A real conductor at the right density does. Carbon at the density Down to Ground uses does not.
So you have a choice: sleep half-naked directly on a plastic sheet that crinkles every time you move, OR put a fitted sheet on top like a normal person and get nothing.
โ ๏ธ And then there's what the plastic does to your bedroom air.
PVC and vinyl release VOCs โ volatile organic compounds โ into the air for years. The same off-gassing chemical smell new mattresses have, except this one never stops because the conductive plastic layer keeps releasing it night after night.
You're paying $179 to:
โ Get zero grounding (the material can't push through fabric)
โ Sleep on plastic that crinkles every time you move
โ Breathe industrial chemicals for 8 hours a night
โ Possibly trigger respiratory issues, headaches, or sleep disruption from the off-gassing itself
Trap 3
3. The Stainless Steel "Upgrade" โ Steel Conducts 30 Times Worse Than Silver, And There's Barely Any Of It In The Sheet

Stainless steel fiber sheets are the newest scam. Brands like Earthingpeople, Better Earthing, and EarthShield sell them. The pitch is "doesn't oxidise like silver, lasts forever."
That part is true. Steel doesn't rust the way silver does.
Here is everything else they don't tell you.
โ ๏ธ Stainless steel conducts 30 times worse than silver. Silver is the #1 most conductive metal on Earth. Stainless steel sits much lower on the conductivity scale โ at full purity, silver delivers 100% conductivity efficiency while stainless steel delivers around 3%. Not a typo. Steel is roughly thirty times weaker than silver at moving electrons.
โ ๏ธ The sheets are only 8 to 12% steel fiber by weight. The rest is polyester. So you're getting 8-12% of something that's already 30 times weaker than silver. The math doesn't work. Even on bare skin against the sheet I tested, the conductivity readings were patchy โ some spots barely registering, most spots almost nothing.
โ ๏ธ It can't push electrons through fabric. The brand instructs you to put a fitted sheet on top because they market the steel layer as a "discreet underlay." But with 8-12% steel content at 3% relative conductivity, the readings I got on TOP of a layered fitted sheet were essentially zero. A real conductor at the right density pushes electrons through fabric. Steel at this density cannot. So you have the same trap as the mattress cover โ sleep directly on a scratchy steel mat that doesn't conduct well anyway, or layer a sheet on top and get nothing.
โ ๏ธ Feels like a wire brush against your skin. Steel doesn't have the give silver thread has. Real customer reviews describe it as scratchy, stiff, hot, and uncomfortable. Most people stop sleeping on it within a month.
$194 to $252 for a stiff polyester sheet with weak steel fibers, that barely conducts on bare skin and not at all through a layered sheet.
The Survivor
4. The Sixth Sheet โ The Only One That Was Still Alive At Month 14

By this point I had a pile of dead products in my garage. I was ready to write a Facebook post telling every woman in our neighborhood that grounding sheets were a scam across the entire category.
A friend at the hospital told me her daughter in Stockholm had sent her one from a Swedish brand. She had been sleeping better than she had in 20 years.
I ordered one. Mostly so I could put it in the post and have one more brand to be angry at.
It arrived in three days from Sweden. I plugged it in.
Reading was the lowest of any sheet I had tested. Lower is better in this test โ and this sheet was conducting better on day one than every other sheet ever had on day one of their lives.
I washed it 10 times the way I had washed the others. Cold water. No bleach. Tested after every wash.
Reading didn't move.
I thought the multimeter was broken. Tested it on the dead sheets in the garage. They were still dead. Multimeter was fine.
The Swedish sheet was just still alive.
Why It Doesn't Die
What This Sheet Does That The Other 5 Don't

I called the company. The founder picked up โ a textile engineer who'd spent 14 years working on conductive medical fabrics before launching Grounding of Sweden. He explained the silver oxidation chemistry to me in three minutes, and it changed how I understood every other sheet I'd tested.
His explanation was simple. Silver oxidises when it touches moisture. Your body sweats every night. The washing machine adds water and detergent. At 5% silver โ what most brands use โ the threads are so thin the oxidation eats through them in a handful of washes. At 10%, it takes a few weeks longer. The chemistry is the same.
The only way around it is to weave the silver at such a high density that the oxidation can chew at the outside of each thread without ever reaching the conductive core inside.
๐งต 25% pure silver woven through every thread of 500 thread count organic cotton.
That's five times more silver than GroundingWell and 2.5 times more than the most expensive Terra sheet. The silver is woven into every single thread, not sprayed on as a coating.
At 25% silver, the oxidation can chew at the outside of each thread without ever reaching the conductive core. The silver inside stays alive. Same principle as a thick copper wire that lasts decades outside while a thin copper wire corrodes through in a month.
An independent textile lab tested it. They washed it 500 times. They measured 97% conductivity at wash 500.
The lab report is on their website. I read it.
โก And here's the thing the other brands physically can't do.
Because the silver density is so high, this sheet conducts electrons through fabric. Through pajamas. Through a t-shirt. Even with another sheet layered on top.
The mattress covers can't do this โ their carbon-laced plastic is too weak a conductor to push through cotton. The stainless steel sheets can't do this โ steel is 30 times weaker than silver, and at 8-12% steel content the readings through a sheet on top drop to nothing. The 5% silver sheets can't do this โ too little silver to push past a layer of fabric.
This one can. At 25% pure silver woven through every thread, the conductive density is strong enough to drive electrons through anything you're wearing or sleeping under. You can sleep in pajamas, in a t-shirt, with another sheet on top, and the multimeter still reads strong on the surface your skin touches.
It's also the only grounding product I tested where the warranty isn't a 30-day return โ it's a lifetime warranty on the conductivity itself. If it stops grounding at any point, they replace it. The reason no other brand offers that warranty is the reason their sheets are dead by month one.
Why Your Doctor Doesn't Know
5. The Reason Hospitals Use Silver But Won't Recommend It For Sleep

Walk into any hospital ICU. Silver is everywhere.
๐ฅ Silver dressings on burn patients
๐ฅ Silver-coated catheters for stubborn infections
๐ฅ Silver bandages on diabetic ulcers
๐ฅ Silver-coated breathing tubes for ventilator patients
Ask any ICU nurse what they reach for when antibiotics stop working. The answer is always silver.
But your doctor will never tell you to sleep on it.
In 1938, the AMA removed silver from medical school curriculums. The same year the first patented antibiotic went on the market.
A metal you can't patent is a threat to the drug industry. Silver works but nobody can charge $500 a dose for it.
Within twenty years, every doctor who had been taught silver had retired. The next generation was never taught it existed. The one after that didn't know to look for it.
Your doctor isn't hiding anything. They genuinely don't know. That's the whole point.

Silver hit an all-time high of $121 an ounce in January 2026. Up 162% in a year. The current sale price can't hold forever โ when silver crosses the next mark, the sheet price moves with it.
The last restock sold out in 72 hours. The one before took six weeks to refill.
A warning before you click anywhere else: Amazon listings using almost the same name sell counterfeit sheets with 3% silver content and cords that rust in a month. The packaging looks identical. The product isn't. Order from the brand's own site.
Common Questions
What makes this sheet different from every other grounding sheet?
The silver percentage and how it's woven. Most sheets use 3% to 10% silver and spray it on as a coating that washes off in days. This one uses 25% pure silver woven through every single thread of 500 thread count organic cotton. That density is why it tests at 97% conductivity after 500 washes. Nothing else on the market has ever passed that test.
How will I know if my sheet is still working in 6 months?
You don't have to wonder. A multimeter ships free with every order. You can test the conductivity yourself any night you want, the same way the lab tested it and the same way the test in this article was done. If the reading ever drops, the lifetime warranty replaces the sheet for free.
What if I have a memory foam mattress, or a sleep number bed, or an adjustable base?
It works on any mattress. The sheet sits on top like any fitted sheet. The mattress underneath doesn't affect the grounding because the conductive layer is on top, against your skin.
Does it work through pajamas, t-shirts, or my normal bed sheets on top?
Yes. The 25% silver density is high enough to conduct through cotton, linen, polyester, nylon โ anything you wear to bed or sleep under. That's the whole point of putting in 25% silver instead of 5%. The cheap sheets don't conduct through fabric because they don't have enough silver in them. This one does. Skin contact, pajamas, t-shirt, layered on top of another sheet โ it grounds you the same way every night.
I have a pacemaker. Is this safe for me?
The sheet doesn't put electricity into your body. It lets accumulated charge drain into the earth. It's safe with medical devices, but if you have any specific concerns, check with your doctor before using.
Does my partner get grounded too if we share the bed?
Yes. Both people get grounded at the same time. The silver weave conducts across the entire surface of the sheet.
The Multimeter Doesn't Lie
5 out of 6 grounding sheets on the market today fail the multimeter test inside a month. The cheap silver dies in your washing machine. The mattress covers use carbon-laced plastic that's too weak to conduct through a sheet on top โ plus they release chemicals into your bedroom air. The stainless steel sheets are 8-12% steel fiber on polyester, and steel conducts 30 times worse than silver.
One product passes the test on day 1, day 90, and day 420. 25% pure silver woven through every thread โ strong enough to ground you through pajamas, a t-shirt, even another sheet on top. Over 1 million people are sleeping on it tonight. The multimeter ships free with every order so you can verify the conductivity yourself, the same way the test in this article was done.
